A song, very familiar to most of us, says,

" The church is not a building where people go to pray,
it's not made out of sticks and stones,
it's not made out of clay.
We are the church. The body of our Lord.
We are all God's children,
we have been restored."

We are the church. The people of Holy Trinity ARE the church. We have a beautiful building and wonderful landscaped lands, but WE are the church.We are Jesus Christ living and breathing and working in this community. We have been here for 87 years and we will be here for many more to come.

We are a strong group of believers and doers. We are a church founded on the principles of serving others and making Christ known to all people.  We have been built on a great foundation of faith in action.

Everyone of us can list the names of others in this congregation, both past and present who have made a difference in the life of this community. We can all name Sunday School and Confirmation teachers, dinner makers and lawn mowers. Everyone of us has at some time or another been the person who is being named! Don't think you have been? The person sitting next to you during worship, the hand you shook during passing of the peace, they know you have been.

We give thanks for YOU. We give thanks for all those who came before you. We give thanks for all those who are to come. We are looking at the Great Foundation we have been given and the one we are still building for our children.
